January 14, 2013 Executive Committee Meeting

Present at the meeting were: Suzanne Mulcahy (Secretary), Ruth Wadsworth (VPM & Sgt. at Arms), Samya Boxberger-Oberoi (VPE & VPPR) and Randy Groover (President & Treasurer).

Officer Reports:

The President indicated that 3 DCP goals had been obtained and that once Samya's ALB application is submitted to Toastmasters International we will have obtained 4 DCP goals.

The VPE will assess the educational progress of the club. This will be done by e-mail and asking for updates from members at club meetings. The VPE will also champion the successful club series and the better speaker series among the members.

The Treasurer reported that our bank had removed the ability of the former Treasurer to sign checks on our account.

The Secretary reported that she needed the President's help in accessing the meeting minutes on SkyDrive. The President agreed to a conference call with the Secretary to review the process.

The Sgt. at Arms indicated that she had not delivered the card for Dora Hernandez, but would do so immediately.

Agenda Items:

The President indicated that he had approached Ellen Silva for a bid on the re-branding and new functionality for the website in case the current webmaster was unable to perform the work.

The President brought the Executive Committee up to date on the management changes that were taking place at the chamber. The President hopes to meet with the new chamber management prior to April to determine how we will work together going forward.

It was determined that the next education module should be presented in about 6 months. The President committed to contact the Area Governor in order to begin the process of determining if any of the other clubs in our area would be interested in participating in the presentation.

The next Executive Committee meeting will be held on February 11, 2013.
