November 29, 2009 Club Meeting

Present at the meeting were: Nancy Johnson, Ruth Wadsworth, Yennie Lee, Randy Lee, Mary Lynagh, George Lee and Ron Kasper

Ruth was the Table Topics Master
Yennie was the General Evaluator
Randy Lee was the Grammarian
Orla (Mary's daughter) was the Ah Counter
Mary was the Timer
Nancy also gave a speech called 'Darts a Sport or Not?'
George evaluated Nancy's speech

November 16, 2009 Club Meeting

Present at the meeting were: Ruth Wadsworth, George Lee, Mary Lynagh, Randy Lee Skylar Quarles and Randy Groover.

Ruth was the Toastmaster
Ruth also gave a semi-impromptu speech that had no title
George Lee was the General Evaluator
Randy Groover was the Grammarian
Skylar Quarles was the Timer
Orla Lynagh (Mary Lynagh's daughter) was the Vote Counter
Randy Lee was the Table Topics Master

The theme for the meeting was: Thanksgiving
The word of the day was: Gratitude

Randy Groover held a mentoring session after the regular meeting. The mentoring session focused on explaining the contents of the 'basic manual' that contains the first 10 speeches that new members need to complete in order to achive Competent Communicator status.

November 9, 2009 Executive Committee Meeting

Present at the meeting were: Nancy Johnson, Ruth Wadsworth and Randy Groover

Officer's Reports:

The President reported that we have achieved 2 DCP goals to date. We have turned our officer list in to Toastmasters International on time and we have added 4 new members.

The Treasurer reported that the process for dispersing bank statements from the Chamber to the Treasurer has improved dramatically.

The Treasurer also gave a detailed report on the status of members seeking to renew existing memberships and those members who were seeking reinstatement.

A discussion about the Toastmasters Internationl requirement to vote all new and returning members into the club took place. Action on this item will be defered until the new Executive Committee is elected in December.

Agenda Items:

All were agreed that it was worth a try having mentoring sessions. Randy agreed to do the first session and Ruth agreed to do future sessions.

The slate of candidates for the December elections was discussed, but nothing concrete was agreed upon.

The next Executive Committee Meeting is scheduled for December 14, 2009

Mary Lynagh gave a speech. I don't have the name of the speech she gave
Randy Lee gave a speech entitled: Dum De Dum Dum
Ron Kasper was the Table Topics Master
George Lee evaluated both the speech by Mary Lynagh and the speech by Randy Lee
